Pogostemon stellatus ‘Octopus’ is also known as the Starwort or Water Star. This plant is native to Laos and Thailand. It features an eye-catching grass-like, star-shaped leaf that is vivid green in color. Unlike the common Pogostemon Stellatus, which develops green/purple leaves, the Octopus variant maintains its green color regardless of light or nutrient intensity.
Pogostemon stellatus ‘Octopus’ is easy to grow and adapts to a variety of aquarium conditions. As a result, it is ideal for breeding tanks or any aquascape project, as it can provide many hiding spots for baby shrimp or fish fries. It grows quickly, even in low- to medium-light conditions, and can be propagated by pruning and replanting.
