Because of its tiny size, Cryptocoryne Parva is considered the smallest Cryptocoryne species. Cryptocoryne Parva Mini, which is even smaller than the renowned Cryptocoryne Parva, is currently the tiniest Cryptocoryne.
Minimalist in size, Cryptocoryne Parva Mini is a nano-sized plant. As a carpet foreground plant, it is green in color and grows very compactly and low to the ground. Rumors have it that Cryptocoryne Parva Mini originated in Indonesia, however, we have not been able to confirm this. Our knowledge of its origin is limited, but we suspect it is a ‘lab-made’ product, which means it is derived from tissue culture and may have been altered by humans to achieve its amazing size.
Regardless, this is a good plant for creating a carpet appearance in the aquarium.
Due to the plant’s tiny size, freshwater shrimp, such as Amano Shrimp and Red Cherry Shrimp, are great for cleaning and eating algae off it.
