Tonina fluviatilis is a tropical plant that grows in Central and South America. It’s a beautiful aquarium plant, but it’s hard to grow because it’s in the Pipewort family (Eriocaulaceae), which includes Eriocaulon and Syngonanthus, which need soft, very acidic water to grow.

Tonina fluviatilis looks best when planted in group and they often used in Dutch-style aquascape. Tonina fluviatilis thrive in soft, acidic water with rich nutrient environment, plenty of CO2, and high lighting.
